Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the toughest treks in the world. Physical fitness is a must to accomplish this trek. Although, no prior trekking experience is required for this trek but one must be able to walk for several hours in an unfamiliar landscapes. Anyone with major physical condition (if any) should be informed to the company before the trek.
Since you will be trekking to high altitude up to 5545m there may be risk of suffering from altitude sickness. So, you must have a travel insurance along with you which covers the entire medical and helicopter rescue service in case of emergencies.
The accommodation in Kathmandu will be provided in a standard 3 star hotel. During the trek tea houses accommodation will be provided. All accommodations will be on twin sharing basis. If you want single supplement it can be easily available in Kathmandu with an additional cost. However, during the trek private supplement are subject to availability.
All meals during the trek will be provided on a full broad basis. The breakfast and lunch is provided on the respective tea houses where you will be staying during the trek. And the lunch is provided on your way to forward destination. All the tea houses offers same kind of menu where you can find Nepalese, Tibetan and common continental and Indian cuisines.
