This Everest Base Camp Trek starts with a breathtaking flight to Lukla. The trek is designed with proper acclimatization days to avoid the chances of altitude sickness for teenagers. If the teenagers have perfect physical fitness then it is not very difficult for them to accomplish Everest Base Camp Trek. This trek gives an amazing experience for lifetime. You will explore the amazing Sherpa culture, mysterious mountains and alluring natural beauty of the Everest region. Your journey to Everest Base Camp (EBC) begins with a flight to Lukla. If you're trekking during peak season (March, April, May, September, October, and November), you may fly from Kathmandu to Manthali due to airport congestion. The drive to Manthali from Kathmandu takes about 5 hours, followed by a 20-minute flight to Lukla. If you'd rather avoid the drive, you can book a helicopter, but it costs an additional $550 USD (shared by five people).
Upon arrival in Lukla, we’ll start the trek, passing through Chaurikharka village and descending to Dudhkoshi Ghat (2,530m / 8,300ft), eventually reaching Phakding. The trek is short and gives us time to acclimatize, and you’ll have the chance to visit local monasteries, such as Rimishung Monastery.

After breakfast, we’ll trek along the northern bank of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. We’ll reach the Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint, where our permits will be registered, then climb through dense forests, catching our first glimpse of Mount Everest. We’ll reach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest, in the afternoon.
It’s important to acclimatize and explore Namche Bazaar. The town is full of cafes, restaurants, and shops, and you can explore nearby attractions like Hillary School, a Sherpa settlement, Syangboche Airport, and yak farms. A must-see is the Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest.

Today’s trek is challenging as we trek through forests and steep climbs. You might spot wildlife like musk deer and Himalayan Thars. After passing Phunki Thenga village, we’ll ascend to Tengboche, home to the Tengboche Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region. From here, we’ll get incredible views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We'll overnight in Deboche.

We continue trekking to Dingboche, passing through small villages like Pangboche, where you can enjoy views of Ama Dablam. As we gain altitude, we’ll see fields surrounded by stone walls protecting crops like barley and potatoes. Our overnight stay will be at Hotel Good Luck in Dingboche.
We’ll take a rest day in Dingboche to allow our bodies to adjust to the higher altitude. During this day, you can hike up to a ridge above Dingboche for stunning views of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Cho Oyu, and Makalu.

Today's trek will take us to Lobuche, following a path that leads to Thukla Hills, where you can see memorials to climbers who have passed away in the region. We’ll continue hiking alongside the Khumbu Glacier, arriving at Lobuche in the afternoon.

This is the day we’ve all been waiting for! After reaching Gorak Shep, we’ll drop off our belongings and head to Everest Base Camp. It’s the closest you can get to the world’s highest peak. After soaking in the views and taking pictures, we’ll return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Our trek today is short, as we descend back to Phakding, crossing suspension bridges and passing through small villages along the Dudh Koshi River.
After having breakfast at Mojo you will trek back to Lukla. The walk is quite easier but you have to go through uphill and downhills. The trek ends here. You will have your last day in Everest region. Overnight at Lukla.

After breakfast, we’ll fly back to Kathmandu or Manthali (depending on the season). The flight is a great way to reflect on the amazing experience you’ve just had! If you’re flying from Manthali, you can take a 5-hour drive back to Kathmandu.
