The second day is an optional day. If you arrived in Kathmandu a day earlier then you can directly start the trek the next day.
The trek takes you to some of the UNESCO world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley. The monuments around the Kathmandu valley are rich in culture and art. You will visit Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The guides will check your trekking gears after sightseeing. Overnight in Kathmandu.
An early morning domestic flight from Kathmandu directly takes you to Lukla. The flight is short and scenic. You will notice the sudden change in the environment right after stepping at Lukla Airport. The trek then goes down towards Dudh Koshi River. After that you will walk through green landscapes and a gradual walk takes you to Phakding Village. The view of Kusum Kangararu will be welcoming you throughout the way. Overnight at Phakding.
After an early morning breakfast at Phakding. The trial ascends towards Namche Bazaar which is known as one of the highest altitude market of the world. You will walk through the bank of Dudh Koshi River and cross several suspension bridges on your way. After that you will pass by Monjo Village and arrive at Sagarmatha check point. The trials then go through several Sherpa villages, dense forests and landscapes froe few hours until you arrive Namche. Namche is a major trading center for people living in Everest region. There you will find restaurants, internet cafes, bank, ATM and shops. Overnight at Namche
Today you will have a rest day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. You will hike to Everest view hotel for the sunrise view and have breakfast there. After that you will trek back to Namche Bazaar and roam around the market. Namche Bazaar is also a home to the most of the Sherpa’s engaged in tourism in Nepal. You will also visit the Everest photo gallery and museum in Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
After breakfast we commence our today’s trek with short gradual walk until it goes down to Phungi Thanga. After that the trials goes uphill ascending through dense forest of Rhododendron and pine trees. The mesmerizing views of towering peaks, Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) Kwongde (6187m) and Tawache(6542m) will be complementing you along the way. Upon reaching Tengboche you will visit the largest monastery of Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery. The views from here are awe-inspiring. Overnight at Tengboche
The trek to Dingboche begins after a short breakfast. The trial first descends through a beautiful forest after then cross Imja River via suspension bridge. The trial today is probably the easiest of your trek but you may encounter dusty trials along the way. You can spot the local animals grazing in the fields during the trials. .Your overnight stay will be in Dingboche.
After having breakfast at Dingboche you will trek towards Chukkung. The trial today is relatively short. It takes about four hours from Dingboche to reach Chukkung Valley. Chukhung valley lies at an altitude of 4,730m on the left fork of Imja Khola. Overnight at Chukkung.
Today you will have rest day at Chukkung for acclimatization and prepare for tomorrows trek. You will hike around Chukkung valley. You will also Hike to Chukkung RI or Island Peak Base Camp today. Overnight at Chukkung Valley.
Today you will climb Kongma La pass. The trek today is very long and you will be losing a lot of calories. From Kongma La pass you can see the magnificent views of mountain panorama of Lhotse (8516 m), Lhotse Shar (8,383 m ), Makalu (8463 m ), Baruntse (7,220 m ), Ama Dablam (6814 m) and many others from north to south. After spending few hours there you will trek back to Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.
After an early morning breakfast you will head towards Gorakshep. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach Gorakshep from Lobuche. The trial is steep and you’ll have to cross multiple moraines. After crossing Changri Nup and Changri Shar Glacier you will reach to Gorakshep. You will have a short rest at Gorak Shep and then the final trek to Everest Base Camp begins. You will be reaching the destination of your bucket list in few hours. The trial gently goes upward and steep. You can see the breathtaking view of the Khumbu Icefall along the trial.
Today you will hike to the highest view point on earth which is Kalapatthar (5545m). The summit of Mt.Everest is not visible from the Base Camp itself. To view the summit of Mt.Everest you will have to hike to Kalapatthar.It is one of the best view points on earth. The walk is about 2 hours from Gorakshep. From there you can see the wonderful views of the giant snow peaks. The Mt.Everest looks absolutely stunning from there. After spending some time there you will trek to Dzonglha for an overnight stay.
From Dzonglha you will trek to Cho La pass (5,420m/17,778 ft) today. The trek goes through rhododendron and pine forest which takes you up to the valley. There is also a high chance of seeing musk deer on the way to the valley. From the top of Cho la Pass you can see the remarkable view of Ama Dablam and Tawache mountains. You will spend few hours here, after then you trek to Gokyo via Thangnak. Overnight at Thangnak.
You will spend a day at Gokyo Valley today. You will hike to Gokyo Ri from where you can see the admiring view of Himalayan vistas and tranquil Gokyo Lakes. After then, you will hike to the fourth and fifth Gokyo Lakes. After walking about 3km to the north of Gokyo you will reach to 4th Lake. The Lake looks amazing. After then a further walk takes you to the 5th lake. From there you can see remarkable view of the Cho Oyu Base Camp and Ngazumpa Glacier, the biggest glacier in the world. After then, you will return back to Gokyo. Overnight at Gokyo.
Today you will trek to Renjo La pass (5345m/17532 ft) from Gokyo. The trial offers stunning views of Ngazumpa Glacier.
You will have breakfast at Marlung. From there you will trek down to Namche Bazaar. You will pass by several villages and walk through dense forests. The trek today is about 8 hours. You will have your overnight at Namche.
After having breakfast at Namche you will trek back to Lula. The trial retraces the same route back to Lukla. You will cross villages like Monjo, Phakding before reaching Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.
An early morning flight with short scenic views of the mountains will drop you to Kathmandu Airport. Our representative of world expedition Nepal will be waiting for you there. They will transfer you to the respective hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
