Gokyo Lake Trek Days.

Upon your arrival, our World Expedition representatives will be waiting to receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport. After a warm gesture, they transfer you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle. You will meet your trekking guide today depending upon the time of your arrival. Overnight in Kathmandu.

The trek starts with an early morning flight will take you to Lukla Airport where you will meet the rest of the team members. You will notice the sudden change in the environment right after stepping at Lukla Airport. As you put on your steps at Lukla, the air seems more pristine and you can feel it. The trek then goes downhill towards Dudh Koshi River. After that you will walk through green landscapes and a gradual walk takes you to Phakding Village. The view of Kusum Kangararu will be welcoming you throughout the way. Overnight at Phakding.

After having breakfast at Phakding. The trial ascends towards Namche Bazaar which is known as one of the highest altitude market of the world. You will walk through the bank of Dudh Koshi River and cross several suspension bridges on your way. On your trek today you will pass by Monjo Village where you will pass by the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. The trials go through several Sherpa villages, dense forests and landscapes. A final steep climb will take you to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Proper acclimatization helps your body to adopt the oxygen content in the air and reduces the risk of altitude sickness. It is very important while trekking to Everest Base Camp. For this, you will have a leisure day at Namche today. However, Acclimatization doesn’t mean staying idle. You won’t climb further heights but you will be roaming around in the same elevation for some hours. Namche Bazaar is an amazing place to hangout. There are numbers of restaurants, lodges and internet cafes. You can hike to Everest View Hotel which provides the best view of Everest and popular for sunrise view. You can have the first glimpse of Everest from there. You can also visit Everest Photo Gallery and Sherpa Culture Museum at Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche.

After an early morning breakfast at Namche we start our trek to Dole. The trial today goes through ups and down passes. You will pass the Mon La Pass and then reach to Phortese Thenga. The trial then goes through thick rhododendron and birch forests rich in floras and faunas. After a short climb you will reach to Dole. Overnight at Dole.

You today’s destination is Machhermo. Machhermo lies at an altitude of 4430m and the total you will gain total altitude of 330m today. The trial today offers scenic view of the amazing vistas like Cho Oyu, Kantega and Thamserku. You will pass by the lush rhododendron forests and some small settlements along the way. A short walk through the sandy trials will take you to Machhermo village. Overnight at Machhermo.

Today you will trek to Gokyo Lake. The trial begins with a short walk through a narrow path. As your steps move forward, the Dudh Koshi Valley starts to widen. The snow capped mountains like Thamserku, Gokyou Peak, Cho Oyu and many more appears close and giant as you move forward. The trial upto Longponga is easy however from there the trial starts getting steeper upto the moraine of Ngazumpa Glacier. After abot 3- 4 hous of walk you will finally reach to Gokyo Valley. You will encounter the three holy lakes before reaching Gokyo Lake. The views there are amazing. Overnight at Gokyo.

You will spend a day at Gokyo Valley today. You will hike to Gokyo Ri from where you can see the admiring view of Himalayan vistas and tranquil Gokyo Lakes. After then, you will hike to the fourth and fifth Gokyo Lakes. After walking about 3km to the noth of Gokyo you will reach to 4th Lake. The Lake looks amazing. After then a further walk takes you to the 5th lake. From there you can see remarkable view of the Cho Oyu Base Camp and Ngazumpa Glacier, the biggest glacier in the world. After then, you will return back to Gokyo. Overnight at Gokyo.

A short descend along the trial of Dudh Koshi River you will pass by the first Gokyo Lakes. The remarkable views of Cholatse and Taboche peaks can be seen along the way. The trial first descends and then climbs up to the hill. You will pass by several villages like Macchermo, Luza and Lhafarma villages and then finally reach Dole. Overnight at Dole.

You will ascend to Monjo after breakfast. The trial today consists of both uphill and downhills where you will pass by lush green forests, villages and meadows. After a short break at Namche Bazaar and you will walk back to Dudh Koshi river valley which takes you to Monjo. Overnight at Monjo.

After having breakfast at Mojo you will trek back to Lukla. The walk is quite easier but you have to go through uphill and downhills. The trek ends here. You will have your last day in Everest region. Overnight at Lukla.

An early morning flight with short scenic views of the mountains will drop you to Kathmandu Airport. Our representative of world expedition Nepal will be waiting for you there. They will transfer you to the respective hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
